Fall seems to be a fan favorite when it comes to the four seasons. Adults and children alike appreciate the cool, crisp temps without too many extremes. At the same time, dressing kids for the cool mornings and mild days can be tough, especially when your little one has their own thoughts on style.
When it comes to wardrobe negotiations focus on the following four basics for temperature transitions and style during any given day!
1. Knits- Sweaters and cardigans offer pop and pattern variety as well as an extra layer for warmth. Pair with a collared shirt or a simple short sleeved tee underneath and your tot is ready for a chilly bus stop wait or sunny noon time recess.
2.Denim- Today’s market offers many choices for denim bottoms. Notice we said bottoms because not all jeans are, well…jeans! Be sure to have one of each to partner with Mother Nature: Blue denim jeans (skinny, straight or both), black denim jeans (again, cut of choice). Focus on styles with some stretch to add comfort and flexibility while maintaining a true “jean” look. For the little ladies, jeggings in any shade of blue or black are a no brainer! Talk about options.
3.Joggers & Sweats- Pick your pattern. There are so many fun prints to choose from when shopping this comfy style. Pair with a solid long sleeved top and VOILA!
4.Accessories- Baseball caps, knit fingerless gloves or a fun, funky stocking hat and scarf combos are all easy add ons for that one of a kind look.
Be brave AND practical. Go bold with a few clutch pieces offering pops of pattern or color with long sleeved knits and joggers. Stay chill with jeans, jeggings and an everyday top layer and your kiddo will be confident, comfy and feelin’ fine. Happy shopping!
